ThunderCat to begin fulfilling orders on $3 billion dollar DHS Contract in the SDVOSB category.

Reston, Va. August 22, 2013 – (PRWEB) – ThunderCat Technology, a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business will leverage its new DHS team to begin work on the DHS FirstSource II contract. Originally awarded in November 2012, the protests for the SDVOSB socio economic category have been resolved.

“We have been working with DHS since 2008 and are excited to finally begin work on the contract. With our new team in place and the recent hire of Brooke Kyle we look forward to providing world class technology to support their vision ‘to ensure a homeland that is safe, secure, and resilient against terrorism and other hazards’ while also assisting DHS to exceed their small business goals for the fourth year in a row,” said CEO, Tom Deierlein..

“I have worked with Homeland Security for 10 years and know how important their strategic sourcing programs are to meeting [DHS] small business goals. I am delighted to start working with the ThunderCat team to continue leveraging existing and developing new relationships within the IT Industry to facilitate continued program success,” adds Brooke Kyle.”

Under its contract, ThunderCat will resume providing information technology equipment and related services to Department of Homeland Security components including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and DHS Headquarters (HQ).

The Department of Homeland Security, seeking to establish a successful follow-on to the original FirstSource contract by using the multi-vendor approach to implementing fully interoperable IT solutions, has reopened the SDVOSB group, allowing ThunderCat to resume supporting DHS’ mission critical programs under the FirstSource II contract vehicle.

ThunderCat was one of eight companies awarded FirstSource II in the Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business category. Competition for this contract was set aside to small businesses under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541519.
