Northern Virginia Chamber Outstanding Corporate Citizen - #1 (2018)
The Outstanding Corporate Citizen of the Year award is presented to a DC metro region business for outstanding contributions during the past year to employees and the community. To be selected, the company must be a longtime advocate for the community and have a longstanding reputation for above-and-beyond corporate social responsibility efforts. Special consideration is given to applicants that demonstrate collaboration, with other businesses, non-profits, or government, in their corporate social responsibility efforts. This award recognizes excellence in corporate social responsibility, particularly as it relates to the DC metro region.

The winners were chosen based on their compound annual growth rate for the last five years. 2014 was ThunderCat’s second appearance on the list, ranking No.43. Participating companies must have more than $2 million in revenue in 2009 and more than $10 million in revenue in 2011 to qualify. Growth must be consecutive year-over-year.

Tom Deierlein, ThunderCat Technology CEO was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2012 Award in the government services category in Greater Washington. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Tom was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala on June 21, 2012 at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner.
