The Washington Post Names ThunderCat Technology a 2023 Top Washington-Area Workplace

Reston, Virginia, June 16, 2023 – ThunderCat Technology has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2023 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area. Selection is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection. This year’s honorees include government contractors, real estate firms, consulting groups, and tech companies. ThunderCat placed #11 in the small business category. This is ThunderCat’s seventh year on the list.

“For the past ten years, the Top Workplaces list has been a credible guide to companies, old and new, in the D.C. region where employees feel valued,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Bronwen Latimer. “As a new generation enters the workforce, the Post is more committed than ever to highlighting the changing landscape of work and how these companies are thriving in it.”CEO Tom Deierlein commented on the award; “To say these have been a challenging few years is an understatement.  We still don’t know what the future of work will look like.  We do know that companies need to be open to more flexible work schedules and attendance habits. We also know that strong teams and strong bonds and strong culture will still win.  So, while it has been a bit more work and required some new thinking, we have been trying hard to make sure everyone here knows that they are part of a team.  Even if we are not together physically 5 days a week, we are still a team working as one coordinating unit to ensure our customers and partners are happy.    We are not mercenaries or individual contributors focused only on our deliverables; we are connected to one another.    Leaders at ThunderCat remain focused and vigilant to ensure that folks here know they are valued. We want to bring out the best in our crew with challenges, with acknowledgement, and of course rewards for a job well done.”

The Washington Post hosted an awards ceremony on Thursday, June 15 to recognize the top-ranked companies.
