The Washington Post Names ThunderCat Technology a 2020 Top Washington-Area Workplace

RESTON, VIRGINIA, OCTOBER 21, 2020 – ThunderCat Technology has been named one of The Washington Post’s 2020 Top Workplaces in the Washington, D.C. area. Selection is based solely on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, which measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection. This is ThunderCat’s fourth time on the list.

“Now in its seventh year, The Post’s Top Workplaces list continues to highlight the companies that are leaders in the Washington-area in terms of employee engagement and satisfaction,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes. “We had a record number of employees participate in the survey this year, making it clear that these organizations have made cultivating an atmosphere of support and respect a priority.”

CEO Tom Deierlein commented on the honor: “This company’s leaders work very hard to make sure everyone feels that they belong, are valued, and acknowledged for their efforts and successes.  I recently read a quote from General Martin Dempsey in his book Radical Inclusion that I felt captured the culture of ThunderCat.  It is about ‘friendship, respect, and trust’ he said.   He went on to say in his 2012 speech ‘What I want my grandchildren to remember from tonight is that we get through life by choosing our friends carefully, working with them on the hardest problems, and trusting them’.  I think that accurately captures ThunderCat; we are friends with shared values, that genuinely respect each other, and trust our teammates to get their job done as we all work hard toward common goals to fulfill our purpose.”

The full list along with additional content ran in print in a special Top Workplaces magazine on October 14 and is available on The Post’s site.  The Washington Post also hosted a wonderful virtual  awards ceremony that recognized the 200 top-ranked companies.
