David Schlosser, also known as Dave, has been in the IT industry for over 30 years. He is currently Chief Operating Officer of ThunderCat Technology, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. ThunderCat is a leading solutions partner to the U.S. Government, educational institutions, and commercial companies. Dave leads the Sales and Engineering teams focused on selling to the U.S. Public Sector. Dave currently is a member of executive advisory councils for Arrow/Immix, NetApp, Arris, Symantec, Hitachi Vantara Federal and Scriyb. Dave also advises many companies on how to build federal sales teams, including advisory on GSA schedules and selection of distribution partners.
Prior to ThunderCat, Dave was at NetApp Federal for 6 years where he held the position of Civilian District Sales Manager, leading the sales teams calling on DHS, DOJ, FBI, DOE, NASA, GSA, and Capitol Hill accounts. Prior to that, Dave spent 18 years at Sun Microsystems Federal where he held the position of District Sales Manager for DOD accounts. While at Sun, Dave led the sales teams calling on Department of Defense Accounts including the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, JWAC, NASIC, DFAS, DLA, DCMA, DISA, DTRA and DTIC. While at Sun Microsystems, Dave also held positions of DOD Sales Rep, Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator and other technical positions. Dave also spent 7 years at NBI Inc, where he was in a number of technical positions.
Dave has a strong track record of building successful sales teams and has vast experience in selling solutions to the U.S. Government. Dave is a graduate of Control Data Institute where he earned a degree in Customer Engineering. Dave spent many years coaching his sons in basketball in the Catholic CYO league and in the Herndon High School league. Dave has been a member of the Sterling Knights of Columbus over the last 15 years and has given many hours of his time to promote the Knights of Columbus charities.
