ThunderCat Technology Awarded Second DHS FirstSource II Contract

ThunderCat wins award in the small business socio-economic category

Reston, Va. September 23, 2013 – (PRWEB) – ThunderCat Technology, a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business announced today that they have won a second DHS FirstSource II award, this time in the Small Business socio-economic category.

The awards included five categories of small businesses, including: Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Zone; 8(a) – such as Tribal-owned firms; Service Disabled-Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); Economically-Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB); and Small Business. ThunderCat now has the ability to provide products to DHS in both the Small Business and SDVOSB categories.

Under its contract, ThunderCat will resume providing information technology equipment and related services to the Department of Homeland Security and its components including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and DHS Headquarters (HQ).

ThunderCat was one of fourteen companies awarded a FirstSource II contract in the Small Business category. Competition for this contract was set aside to small businesses under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541519.
