Innovation Lab

The TCAT Aurora Innovation Laboratory is used for prototyping solutions and creating precision builds. It provides our engineering team and customers with a “playground” to test new technologies, integrate solutions, develop proofs of concepts for our customers, and design and demonstrate complex solutions. “Aurora” is a Latin name meaning “dawn”. It evokes images of new beginnings, light, and beauty.
Here are recent efforts:

VMware (Broadcom) Validation Lab. A production-faithful VMware stack from Broadcom lets onsite engineers trial patches, configurations, and performance tweaks in isolation. The controlled sandbox shortens release cycles and eliminates mission-affecting risk through deterministic, pre-deployment test results.

Post-Quantum Cryptography on Palo Alto. NIST-selected Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) algorithms run natively on Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Firewall (NGFW)s and Prisma Access to prove wire-speed, quantum-resilient key exchange. The demo quantifies performance overhead and integration effort ahead of forthcoming compliance mandates.

Forescout–Aruba ClearPass Testbed. Our Segmented lab allows our customer to work with remote Forescout engineers to pair eyeSight with HPE Aruba ClearPass across virtual Operational Technology (OT) networks. Zero-trust posture assessments and dynamic Network Access Control (NAC) policies are verified without touching the customer’s classified environment.

NVIDIA DGX H200 AI Supercomputer. The DGX H200, pre-loaded with NVIDIA Artificial Intelligence (AI) Blueprints for Retrieval Augments Generation (RAG) and AI-Q Research Assistant, connect AI agents to their own data and use reasoning and tools to distill in-depth source materials with efficiency and precision. Developers gain a turnkey environment for high-fidelity agent benchmarking and workflow optimization.

Splunk/CROGL AI-Driven SecOps Engine. Crogl’s AI-driven knowledge graph, integrated with Splunk’s analytics platform, acts as a Security Operations (SecOps) force multiplier—automating threat correlation, documentation, and root-cause investigation at enterprise scale. The combined solution compresses detection-to-response times and preserves analyst insight, giving security teams a measurable, data-driven competitive advantage without displacing human expertise. This solution accelerates incident investigation, enabling security teams to respond faster and more effectively. It’s a powerful AI assistant that augments human expertise, rather than replacing it.

Multi-Vendor Network Failure Emulator. A full-mesh Cisco-Juniper-Arista topology enables systems integrators to inject faults and firmware variances on demand. Rapid scenario replay accelerates root-cause analysis and hardens designs against real-world outages without touching field gear.
